BIRD KITCHEN
Eureka, CA

As with many remodels today, the owners wanted to open up their previously closed-off kitchen to the living area, creating a more functional and connected flow.

The remodel retained the original kitchen footprint while incorporating modern updates: usable counter space and appliance layout, generous pantry and wall storage, and a compact home office area.

Because the neighboring home sits close outside the kitchen windows, the design reoriented the sink view away from those windows and instead toward the living room and outdoor spaces on the opposite side of the house.

The clients chose a clean, timeless style that would complement a custom-made bird tile, which became the focal point of the backsplash.
