AG GARAGE
Freshwater, CA

Sometimes the only thing your property is missing is a garage and agricultural structure. Cairns Architecture was brought on to research and design a detached building to hold not only the client’s car, but their chickens and goats.

While a garage is considered a simple structure, they often have variety of uses. The building incorporated a single-car garage, spaces for wood storage, goat milking, chicken coops and general storage. Natural light was incorporated in all of the spaces to enhance them and make them more usable. The roofline was laid out to accommodate photovoltaic panels for the main residence.
